Renata de Arruda described Gloria Bistrita's progress and her upcoming move to Corona Brasov in a March EHF interview. The Brazilian goalkeeper said her fourth season with Gloria would be her last, while she intended to remain in Romania.

De Arruda had made 207 saves at 31 per cent efficiency in fifteen Champions League matches. She helped Bistrita reach the play-offs after the club failed to escape the group phase during its debut season a year earlier.

Her European career began in Spain before a move to Magura Cisnadie in 2021 and Bistrita in 2022. She recalled Gloria's 2024 European League final appearance as an important experience, while emphasising how teamwork between goalkeepers and defenders underpins her current performances.
