Riva improves indoor 800m best in Erfurt
A 1:46.61 third place moved the Italian to fifth on the national indoor list.

Federico Riva ran an indoor 800m personal best of 1:46.61 for third place in Erfurt. The performance improved his three-year-old 1:47.39 mark and came five days after he broke Italy’s indoor 1500m record in Karlsruhe.
Mohamed Attaoui won in 1:45.76, with Malik Skupin-Alfa second in 1:46.19. FIDAL reported that Riva’s new time moved him to fifth on Italy’s indoor all-time list, adding a shorter-distance improvement to his winter campaign.
Micol Majori also lowered her indoor 1500m best to 4:11.82 at the German meeting, improving by more than two seconds. The federation’s report additionally noted an 8.16 B-final hurdles victory for Nicla Mosetti at a separate competition in Osijek.
