The Kings player required surgery after the regular-season finale against Brisbane.
Source publication date:
Sydney confirmed that Tyler Robertson would miss the remainder of the NBL season after suffering a high-grade AC joint injury against Brisbane. The guard was scheduled for surgery followed by rehabilitation with the Kings’ medical staff, removing him from the postseason rotation.
Robertson’s second NBL season had produced career-best averages of six points and 2.7 rebounds, alongside improved shooting percentages. He was injured during Sydney’s final regular-season victory, which secured first place in the standings.
Coach Brian Goorjian praised Robertson’s growth and said the team’s depth would help it respond. Sydney’s priorities included supporting the guard’s recovery while preparing for its opening playoff game at Qudos Bank Arena on 11 March after the international window and play-in tournament.
