World Archery announced the European Para Archery Championships field on 26 April, with 129 competitors from 26 nations. Rome was hosting the championships for the third time, following editions in 2022 and 2024.
The programme included recurve, compound, W1 and visually impaired divisions. The VI competition was the first major event in that discipline since the 2025 World Para Championships in Gwangju. Previous medallists Christos Misos, Ruben Vanhollebeke, Nicholas Thomas and Kathleen Meurrens were among those returning.
Qualifying was scheduled for 28 April, with gold medal matches on 2 May at the Nando Martellini Stadium. Türkiye’s Öznur Cure Girdi featured in the compound women’s preview. The entry information records a competition opportunity and is not evidence that any named athlete won in Rome.
