Source publication date:
Chelsea appointed Liam Rosenior as head coach of the men’s team on a contract running through 2032. The forty-one-year-old arrived from RC Strasbourg after earlier coaching roles with Hull City and Derby County.
Chelsea highlighted Strasbourg’s qualification for European competition in his first season, the French club’s first such qualification in nineteen years. The appointment linked continued player development with expectations of competing for honours.
Rosenior identified teamwork and unity as priorities for his new squad. This archived report records the appointment as announced in January; the long contract was the agreement at that point, rather than a guarantee about the eventual length of his tenure.
