Run4Hope prepares nationwide relays for cystic fibrosis research
Twenty regional routes will run simultaneously during the April charity campaign.
Source publication date:
Run4Hope presented its sixth edition at the Italian Senate, outlining twenty simultaneous regional running relays from 18 to 26 April. The non-competitive campaign will support the Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation, with funding directed towards microbiological and pharmaceutical work addressing antibiotic resistance.
The organisers expect at least forty thousand runners, supported by athletics clubs, military units, referees’ associations and individual participants. Routes in neighbouring areas will be coordinated so that the regional efforts proceed together.
The initiative raised €295,387 during its first five years for cancer research and the leukaemia charity AIL. FIDAL president Stefano Mei joined the launch and pledged support through the federation’s clubs and regional structures, alongside foundation president Matteo Marzotto and Run4Hope leader Massimo Giammetta.
