Rybakina and Pegula win straight-set matches to meet in Miami quarters
Neither player lost serve in the fourth-round victories.

Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula advanced to a Miami Open quarterfinal meeting with emphatic fourth-round victories. Pegula defeated Jaqueline Cristian 6–4, 6–1 in sixty-eight minutes without facing a break point, converting four of thirteen chances against the Romanian’s serve.
Rybakina then beat Australian qualifier Talia Gibson 6–2, 6–2 in sixty-four minutes without losing serve. The result ended Gibson’s breakthrough Sunshine Swing, during which she reached the last sixteen at both Indian Wells and Miami after coming through qualifying.
Pegula reached her fifth consecutive Miami quarterfinal, becoming the first woman to achieve that sequence since Agnieszka Radwanska in 2010–14. Rybakina entered their next meeting with a 5–3 head-to-head lead and victories in the four most recent matches between them.
