Eleven aces and thirty-seven winners powered the world number one’s semifinal.
Source publication date:
Aryna Sabalenka defeated Linda Noskova 6–3, 6–4 to reach her third Indian Wells final in four years. The world number one advanced with eleven aces and thirty-seven winners, both her highest single-match totals of the season to that point.
Sabalenka used wide serves and powerful groundstrokes to move the Czech into the corners under hotter, faster conditions. Noskova struck five aces but committed six double faults, including two in a service game that helped Sabalenka gain a second opening-set break.
The top seed saved a crucial second-set break chance before holding for 5–3 and closed without a decider. She advanced to face Elena Rybakina, the player who had beaten her in the 2023 Indian Wells final and the season’s Australian Open championship match.
