Saint-Quentin sweeps Champions League quarterfinal opener
The French club won 3–0 against Cartagena before the away return match in Spain.

Saint-Quentin moved ahead in its women’s Champions League quarterfinal with a 3–0 home victory over UCAM Cartagena. The French team won every match in the opening encounter, creating a substantial lead before the return leg scheduled for Saturday in Spain.
Polina Mikhailova began by defeating Maria Xiao in four games. Linda Bergstrom then beat Qi Fei in straight games, placing Saint-Quentin one win away from a complete sweep and giving the visitors a difficult position to recover.
Camille Lutz closed the team contest with a four-game victory over Tin Tin Ho. Saint-Quentin’s first-leg performance brought the club closer to a place in the inaugural women’s Champions League final four, although qualification still depended on the return encounter.
