Salazar and Alonso advance in Marseille opening match
The leading seeds moved into the quarterfinals as Guerrero and Leal also won their debut.

Ale Salazar and Ale Alonso began their Marseille FIP Platinum campaign with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Carlotta Casali and Ana Dominguez. The leading women’s seeds had received an opening bye before taking the court in the second round of the tournament.
Salazar entered the event during what was announced as her final professional season. Her next opponents were Ana Catarina Nogueira and Laura Lujan, with the quarterfinal stage scheduled for Friday at the first Platinum event of 2026.
Fran Guerrero and Javi Leal also made a winning debut, defeating Maxi Sanchez and Xisco Gil 6-3, 6-3. They progressed to face Lucas Campagnolo and Jairo Bautista, while two unseeded men’s partnerships reached the quarterfinal programme.
