Sánchez and Ustero beat former partner Josemaría in Gijón semifinal

Ari Sánchez and Andrea Ustero reached their second final from two Premier Padel events by beating Paula Josemaría and Bea González 6–2, 3–6, 6–4 in Gijón. The women’s semifinal lasted two hours and thirty-six minutes, with Sánchez facing her former partner across the net.
Sánchez and Ustero lost five consecutive games after leading 3–1 in the second set before regaining control in the decider. Delfi Brea and Gemma Triay beat Tamara Icardo and Claudia Jensen 6–2, 6–2 in the other semifinal, setting a rematch of the Riyadh final.
Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galán recovered to defeat Coki Nieto and Jon Sanz 4–6, 6–3, 6–4. Coello and Tapia beat Stupaczuk and Yanguas 7–6, 6–4, arranging the thirty-first meeting between the leading men’s partnerships, with Coello and Tapia ahead twenty-one to nine.
