Scandicci and Milano secured the final places in the women’s Champions League quarter-finals. Their progression completed a field containing three Turkish teams, four Italian clubs and Poland’s Developres Rzeszów, ahead of the route towards May’s Final Four in Istanbul.

Scandicci recovered from losing the first set to defeat Novara 3–1 in the return leg, then won the Golden Set 15–7. It was the Tuscan club’s first Golden Set and secured a quarter-final meeting with Fenerbahçe.

Milano took the two sets required against Olympiacos and advanced to face VakıfBank. The outcome maintained Scandicci’s record of reaching at least the quarter-finals in every Champions League edition they had entered, following their silver-medal finish the previous season.
