Lucho Capra and Victor Ruiz won the opening day’s longest match in three sets.
Source publication date:
Manuel Castaño and Iñigo Jofre defeated Maxi Sanchez and Xisco Gil 6–4, 6–4 in their Miami P1 opener. Seventeen-year-old Castaño had climbed to seventy-fifth in the FIP rankings after five CUPRA FIP Tour titles in 2025 and had already reached Riyadh’s last sixteen.
The victory continued his progress into Premier Padel main draws at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Local wildcard players also featured on centre court, with Matias and Aaron Segura, and the partnership of Di Francesco and Agritelley, losing their opening-day matches.
Lucho Capra and Victor Ruiz won the day’s longest contest, beating Gonzalo Rubio and Javi Ruiz 6–3, 6–7, 6–4. The following schedule contained eighteen matches, including the remaining men’s first-round contests and the opening women’s matches, before the tournament’s top pairs began their campaigns.
