Shahdag moguls World Cup Finals move to next season
Snow conditions and travel constraints prompted a joint decision by FIS and Azerbaijan.

FIS and Azerbaijan cancelled the planned moguls World Cup Finals at Shahdag Mountain Resort for the current season. The event had been scheduled for 14–15 March as part of the partners’ Global Destination Partnership, with preparations intended to meet international competition standards.
Organisers reported that the available natural and winter conditions could not provide the quality of sporting environment required. Limited travel options and temporary capacity constraints at regional airport hubs also raised logistical concerns for athletes, teams and visitors approaching the event.
The joint decision moved Shahdag’s hosting plans to the next winter season. FIS and Azerbaijan said the additional time would allow organisers to pursue suitable competition conditions and the desired experience for participants and spectators at the mountain resort.
