Shootouts feature in men’s Conference Cup second-round opening
Honved and Crvena Zvezda prevailed on penalties as De Akker and Posillipo won in regulation.

Honved and Crvena Zvezda won shootouts on the opening day of the men’s Conference Cup second round. Honved drew 14–14 with A-Polo before prevailing 6–5 on penalties, with goalkeeper Kristof Csoma making a decisive save after a missed Hungarian attempt.
De Akker beat Montpellier 25–9 after scoring eight unanswered goals in the first quarter. In Naples, Posillipo defeated Dinamo Tbilisi 13–8, building an 8–1 halftime lead following its own run of eight consecutive goals.
Crvena Zvezda drew 10–10 with Sète before winning the shootout 4–3. The French side led with twenty-seven seconds remaining, but Marko Radovic’s long-range equaliser extended the contest and the Serbian club recovered from two unsuccessful opening penalties.
