Slovenia reclaimed the women’s normal hill team title at the Nordic Junior World Championships in Lillehammer with 955.2 points. The team led throughout and finished more than thirty-seven points clear, earning the nation’s fifth championship victory in the discipline after Germany had won the previous edition.
Austria and Germany shared silver on 919.5 points following their eighth and final jumps. Austria briefly moved two tenths ahead late in the contest, but Germany’s Julina Kreibich responded with a 93-metre final effort to bring the teams level in the classification.
Finland finished fourth despite Sofia Mattila recording two 99-metre jumps and the strongest individual score. Slovenia’s Maja Kovacic welcomed the team success after narrowly missing an individual medal earlier in the championships, before the men’s and mixed competitions followed.
