Spain led the updated men’s beach handball nations ranking, while Germany topped the women’s list. The standings combined senior and youth results from nine major events over three years and will guide seeding for the federation’s competitions in 2026.
Spain’s men accumulated 836 points despite losing the 2025 European final to Germany. Germany and Hungary finished twenty points behind, with Germany taking second place under the tie-break based on performances in the three most recent major senior tournaments.
Germany’s women led Spain by eight points, 840 to 832. The Netherlands placed third, ahead of Norway and Denmark. The rankings would next be used for preliminary-round draws for the under-seventeen European Championship and senior Beach Handball Championship in Zagreb.
