Anna Odine Strøm won the first Olympic women’s large hill individual title in Predazzo, completing a double after her normal hill victory. Fellow Norwegian Eirin Maria Kvandal took silver and Slovenia’s Nika Prevc earned bronze.

Kvandal led after a 129-metre opening jump and set a hill record of 133.5 metres in the final round. A difficult landing reduced her score, however, and Strøm finished 2.1 points ahead to win the new Olympic event.

Strøm became the first woman and fourth athlete overall to win both individual ski jumping events at one Olympics. The large hill gold was her third medal at Milano Cortina, following normal hill gold and mixed team silver for Norway.
