Strøm wins Olympic normal hill title
The Norwegian edged Nika Prevc by 1.1 points in Predazzo.

Anna Odine Strøm won the Olympic women’s normal hill ski jumping title in Predazzo with 267.3 points. The Norwegian led both rounds and defeated World Cup leader Nika Prevc by just 1.1 points, with Nozomi Maruyama claiming bronze.
Strøm jumped 100 metres in the opening round and 101 metres in the final. Prevc responded with jumps of 98 and 99.5 metres, increasing her advantage over Maruyama but remaining narrowly behind the leader at the end.
The victory made Strøm the second Norwegian champion in this event after Maren Lundby’s 2018 success. Austria’s Lisa Eder finished fourth with 257.3 points, leaving the medal places to athletes from Norway, Slovenia and Japan.
