The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix announced an entry list containing all four leading women in the world rankings. Aryna Sabalenka, Elena Rybakina, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff headed seven top-ten entrants for the 13–19 April WTA 500 tournament in Stuttgart.

Defending champion Jelena Ostapenko also entered, joined by Jasmine Paolini, Elina Svitolina and Mirra Andreeva. Barbora Krejcikova used a protected ranking, while German players Laura Siegemund, Eva Lys and Ella Seidel received main-draw wildcards for the indoor clay competition.

The event announced more than 1.2 million dollars in prize money, an increase exceeding 100,000 dollars. Stuttgart first hosted the tournament in 1978 and used indoor hard courts through 2008 before changing surfaces, making its spring clay conditions a distinctive part of the tour.
