Svahn heads Swedish Olympic sprint sweep as Klaebo wins
Sweden took all three women’s medals while Norway won the men’s classic sprint.

Linn Svahn led a Swedish medal sweep in the Olympic women’s classic sprint, beating defending champion Jonna Sundling and Maja Dahlqvist in Tesero. Svahn won her first major championship medal in gold on her Olympic debut.
Johannes Høsflot Klæbo won the men’s final in 3:39.74, earning his seventh career Olympic gold. American Ben Ogden finished 0.87 seconds behind for silver, and Norway’s Oskar Opstad Vike took bronze on his own Olympic debut.
Svahn accelerated in the finishing section to resist Sundling’s challenge, while Klæbo separated himself from the men’s field earlier in the final. Federico Pellegrino missed the men’s final, leaving the Italian home supporters without a medal contender in the last round.
