Swansea City returned to the women's Welsh Cup final for the first time in eight years with a 6-0 defeat of Cwmbran Celtic at Jenner Park. Yzzy Taylor's side established a three-goal half-time lead against its second-tier opponents before adding three more after the interval.
Stacey John opened the scoring after twenty minutes from Taite Trivett's pass. Aimee Deacon then scored twice with similar finishes from crosses, while Cwmbran's Macey Morris hit the crossbar during the first half and Swansea also twice struck the woodwork.
Trivett made it four early in the second period, John completed her brace and substitute Emily Richards supplied the sixth. Cwmbran goalkeeper Amie Preston-Roberts continued to make important saves despite the scoreline, with Swansea securing its place in the April final at Rodney Parade.
