Sydney recovered from a 24-point first-half deficit to defeat Cairns 106–92 at the Cairns Convention Centre. The Kings’ seventh consecutive win moved them back to second in the NBL standings at 20–9 after the Taipans’ fast opening threatened an upset.

Kendric Davis produced 35 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Sydney reduced the deficit to nine at half-time, moved within one late in the third quarter and then scored a season-high 35 in the final period to complete the turnaround.

Xavier Cooks added 15 points and four blocks for Sydney. Lachlan Barker scored a career-best 18 for Cairns, including four three-pointers, while Jack McVeigh and Mojave King each added 17. Cairns dropped to 8–21 despite its strong start.
