Sydney takes second place with victory over Phoenix
A dominant second half secured a 114–88 road win at John Cain Arena.

Sydney defeated South East Melbourne 114–88 at John Cain Arena to move above the Phoenix into second place in the NBL standings. The Kings led by one at half-time before outscoring the home side 59–34 across the final two quarters.
Kendric Davis scored 30 and supplied nine assists. Xavier Cooks added 20 while making all eight field-goal attempts and four free throws. Jaylin Galloway contributed 14, and Torrey Craig 13. Sydney shot 59 per cent overall compared with South East Melbourne’s 38.
The match featured several heated exchanges and technical fouls before Sydney established its decisive advantage. Nathan Sobey and John Brown III each scored 15 for the Phoenix, whose 23 offensive rebounds could not compensate for unsuccessful long-range shooting.
