Sydney’s 120-point win ends Illawarra postseason hopes

Sydney defeated Illawarra 120–94 in Wollongong, ending the defending champion’s remaining NBL postseason hopes. The Kings completed a four-game season sweep of their regional opponent and moved into first place at 22–9 with their ninth consecutive victory.
Kendric Davis scored 24 with nine assists, five rebounds and three steals in 26 minutes before sitting out the final quarter. Sydney had seven double-figure scorers, including Tyler Robertson with 17 and Tim Soares with 16, demonstrating the depth of its rotation.
Illawarra played without JaVale McGee and fell to 11–20. Tyler Harvey led the Hawks with 16, while Sam Froling contributed 14. The hosts briefly reduced the second-half margin before Sydney’s outside shooting and final-quarter control secured the result.
