Talant Dujshebaev takes charge of France after Guillaume Gille leaves
The national-team appointment takes immediate effect while Dujshebaev continues with Kielce.
Source publication date:
Talant Dujshebaev became head coach of France’s men’s national team with immediate effect. He succeeds Guillaume Gille, who decided to leave after France finished seventh at the 2026 European Championship, two years after winning the same competition.
The appointment leaves Dujshebaev in charge of Polish Champions League club Industria Kielce as well. France’s announcement followed several weeks of consideration at the Maison du Handball in Créteil, where the team’s recent performance prompted reflection on its direction.
Gille had led a side that entered the championship as defending European champions but returned without a medal. The change establishes a new coaching lead for the national programme, with the federation entrusting an experienced club coach to guide the next stage.
