Junior Mondal’s finish secured a 3–1 away result.
Source publication date:
Spennymoor Town beat Peterborough Sports 3–1, with captain Glen Taylor scoring in both halves before Junior Mondal added the third. The visitors defended a brief period of pressure after Luca Miller reduced the deficit for the home side.
Taylor opened the scoring after Rob Ramshaw seized on a defensive error and supplied the striker. He doubled the advantage shortly after halftime when Mitch Hancox's pass allowed him to finish from close range.
Miller converted Mustapha Carayol's delivery in the 67th minute, but Peterborough could not find an equaliser. Mondal took advantage when goalkeeper Peter Crook failed to claim the ball, curling his finish into the corner. Brad James later made a double save to protect the win.
