Telford’s second-half goals defeat Spennymoor
Walker and Williams secured a 2–0 away victory.
Source publication date:
AFC Telford United beat Spennymoor Town 2–0 at the Brewery Field through two second-half goals. Remi Walker opened the scoring in the 56th minute before substitute Charlie Williams added another deep into stoppage time.
Both teams had opportunities before the interval, including chances for Spennymoor's Corey McKeown and Cam Salkeld. Telford also threatened through Dylan Allen-Hadley, while Ammar Dyer's cross struck the crossbar shortly before halftime.
Walker scored after a clearance sent him through on the counterattack and goalkeeper Brad James slipped while adjusting. A later Walker finish was ruled out for offside. Williams eventually rounded James and scored from a tight angle, securing the visitors' clean-sheet win away from home.
