Tesni Murphy retires after fifteen years on the PSA Tour
The Welsh player leaves with three tour titles and three British championships.

Tesni Murphy announced her immediate retirement from professional squash after fifteen years on the PSA Tour. The Welsh player reached a career-high world ranking of ninth in November 2019 and won three PSA titles during a career that included major championship breakthroughs.
Her first tour title came at a 25,000-dollar tournament in Sharm El Sheikh in 2015. She added Monte Carlo and Irish Open championships during the final eighteen months of her career, alongside British National titles in 2018, 2019 and 2025.
Murphy reached the US Open semifinals in 2018 and won a Commonwealth Games bronze medal that year. Her Commonwealth campaign included victories over Laura Massaro and Nicol David, reflecting the high-level performances that distinguished her years competing against the leading players in women’s squash.
