Thirteen Faroese coaches complete Suðuroy course
The C2 programme combined remote and practical teaching.
Source publication date:
Thirteen coaches completed the Faroese federation’s C2 course in Suðuroy after a programme that began the previous October. The federation said the format had not been used before and combined online instruction with in-person sessions on the island.
Participants attended Teams meetings and received digital presentations that they watched before answering questions. Federation instructors also visited Suðuroy twice for practical teaching at Marghøllin in Vágur, adding direct coaching work to the remote components of the course.
Sixteen participants from FC Suðuroy, TB and Royn originally enrolled, with thirteen reaching completion and receiving their certificates. Coach education coordinator Eli Hentze welcomed the outcome, describing the trial structure as successful overall and expressing satisfaction with the number who qualified.
