Wales drew 1-1 with Northern Ireland at Cardiff City Stadium after Sorba Thomas cancelled out Jamie Donley's first-half goal. The friendly gave both teams an opportunity to regroup following defeats in their respective World Cup play-off semi-finals earlier in the international window.

Wales began positively, with Lewis Koumas testing Conor Hazard, but Donley put the visitors ahead after twenty-three minutes. His initial shot hit the post before he reacted first to convert the rebound, leaving Craig Bellamy's side trailing at the interval.

Thomas equalised immediately after the restart from David Brooks' through ball. Neco Williams and Harry Wilson threatened a home winner, while Karl Darlow denied Eoin Toal at close range. Northern Ireland's Callum Marshall headed over in stoppage time as the game finished level.
