Thüringer reach European League finals despite Nykøbing defeat

Thüringer HC qualified for the EHF European League women's finals despite a 37–36 home defeat to Nykøbing Falster. Their four-goal first-leg victory gave the defending champions a 67–64 aggregate success and another chance to contest the title.
Nykøbing led by six goals during the first half and reached the break 22–18 ahead, temporarily cancelling Thüringer's aggregate advantage. Johanna Reichert and Clara Lerby scored seven goals each before halftime, while goalkeeper Anne Christine Bossen made eighteen saves across the match.
Thüringer improved after the interval and drew level at 26–26 in the fortieth minute. Reichert finished with fifteen goals, while Lerby contributed eleven for the Danish side. The German club joined Dijon, Viborg and Esztergom in the final weekend.
