Source publication date:
Tokyo Verdy Beleza defeated Stallion Laguna 5-0 to advance to the AFC Women’s Champions League semi-finals. The Japanese side dominated possession and turned their control into a decisive result against the visitors from the Philippines.
Goalkeeper Olivia McDaniel helped Stallion resist repeated first-half attacks until Moka Hiwatari opened the scoring shortly before the interval. Hiwatari turned inside the penalty area and placed her shot into the bottom corner after receiving Nanmi Kitamura’s pass.
Kitamura added the second early after half-time, and Hikaru Naomoto converted a penalty to extend the advantage. Late goals from Miyu Matsunaga and Rihona Ujihara completed the win, leaving Beleza to face Melbourne City or Nasaf in the next round.
