Top four seeds reach McMillan Goodfellow semifinals
Lobban, Elnawasany, ElSherbini and Rodriguez all progressed in Toronto’s Copper tournament.

The top four seeds reached the semifinals of the McMillan Goodfellow Classic in Toronto. Greg Lobban, Yahya Elnawasany, Mohamed ElSherbini and Miguel Rodriguez all advanced through the quarterfinals, preserving the leading contenders at the Copper-level PSA event in Canada.
Lobban needed 69 minutes to defeat Toufik Mekhalfi in four games. Elnawasany also won 3-1, ending the run of Sam Osborne-Wylde after the English player had drawn level by taking the second game of their contest.
ElSherbini defeated Shahjahan Khan in four games, while Rodriguez was the only winner to progress in straight games. His 11-9, 14-12, 11-3 victory over David Bernet set a semifinal against ElSherbini, with Lobban due to face Elnawasany.
