Source publication date:
U.S. Soccer selected Ref Insight as its national referee assignment platform following a request-for-proposals process. The federation announced the decision on February 9 after assessing operational needs, technical capabilities and the experience of potential providers.
The system is intended to support competitions including the U.S. Open Cup, international matches in the United States, USL pre-professional leagues, NPSL, UPSL and UWS. Further competitions will be introduced through a phased rollout.
The platform will bring assignment workflows, communication and match information into a common system for officials and assignors. U.S. Soccer said the selection was aimed at improving consistency and scalability as it develops the infrastructure used to manage refereeing nationally.
