UK Athletics launches a public facility-rating tool
Anonymous feedback will support monitoring between formal track inspections.
Source publication date:
UK Athletics launched the Track and Field Rater, an anonymous online form for users to assess facilities and equipment. The tool allows feedback between formal TrackMark inspections, which normally occur every three years, creating a more regular account of venue conditions.
The federation will use submissions when discussing provision with operators, recognising good practice and identifying possible improvements or investment. Reported safety concerns will be passed to venue teams, with further action sought where necessary rather than treating the form as an inspection replacement.
Athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers and spectators are encouraged to contribute. Links will be distributed through clubs and licensed participants, while venue QR codes will provide direct access, giving regular grassroots users a way to inform the continued monitoring of quality and safety.
