Four set-piece goals contributed to the 6-0 victory.

Source publication date:
The United States defeated Hungary’s women’s under-19 team 6-0 during the San Pedro del Pinatar Cup programme in Spain. Hungary competed for periods of the first half but trailed 2-0 at the interval before the American team increased its advantage after the break.
The United States added four second-half goals, while Hungary failed to convert a penalty in the 78th minute. Four of the American goals came from set pieces, highlighting an area coach Tibor Gajdóczi said Hungary needed to address in its defensive preparation.
The match followed an earlier camp fixture against Sweden. Gajdóczi described both meetings as valuable preparation for April’s European qualifiers in Portugal, where Hungary were scheduled to face Spain, Portugal and Northern Ireland during the next phase of their international programme.
