The United States defeated Serbia 107-81 in Istanbul on 5 July 2026 to win the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup. The result preserved their championship sweep across all eight editions and took their tournament record to 58 wins without defeat since the competition began in 2010.

Joaquim Boumtje Boumtje supplied 20 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks in the final. Clarence Rosser Jr scored 23 points, while Beckham Black contributed 12 points and ten assists. The championship game drew 3,544 spectators to the Basketball Development Center.

Nikola Kusturica scored 37 points for Serbia, setting a final scoring record. Serbia’s silver medal improved on the country’s bronze in 2014 and represented its best finish in this age-group tournament. The result therefore combined another American title with a significant Serbian youth-team achievement.
