VakıfBank recover from two sets down to finish first
Fenerbahçe also completed a leading pool-stage campaign on the women’s Champions League final day.

VakıfBank overturned a two-set deficit to defeat Scandicci 3–2 and finish first in women’s Champions League pool A. The Istanbul victory secured direct quarter-final entry, leaving Scandicci to continue through the additional play-off stage of the competition.
The deciding set finished 15–12 after VakıfBank survived a close fourth set, won 28–26. A crowd of 2,850 watched the comeback at the home arena, with the result also reversing the outcome of the clubs’ previous season’s semi-final meeting.
Fenerbahçe defeated Budowlani Łódź in straight sets to confirm first place in pool B, while Novara beat Benfica 3–0. Alba Blaj’s victory against Le Cannet supplied a CEV Cup place, giving the day consequences beyond direct Champions League qualification.
