Valensin wins junior 200m duel at Italian indoor championships
Her 23.45 finish led a final day featuring fast sprinting and a shared hurdles title.

Elisa Valensin won the junior women’s 200m at the Italian indoor championships in 23.45, beating Margherita Castellani’s 23.64. Valensin finished six hundredths outside her Italian under-20 record during the final day of competition in Ancona.
Laura Frattaroli improved her indoor 400m best to 53.77, moving to second on the national under-20 list. Francesco Pagliarini won the junior men’s 200m in 21.56, adding another title to the family’s weekend after Alice’s earlier sprint victory.
Oliver Mulas and Vittorio Ghedina shared the under-23 men’s hurdles title after identical times through thousandths at 7.82. Aurora Vicini cleared 1.86 in the high jump, while Valeria Minati completed an under-23 middle-distance double with the 3000m title.
