Vasas win Hungarian derby in men’s Euro Cup first legs
Sabadell established the largest advantage as several visiting clubs also won.

Vasas defeated BVSC 11–8 in their Hungarian derby as the men’s Euro Cup last sixteen opened. Sabadell recorded an 11–3 victory over Šabac, creating the largest advantage among the reported first legs ahead of the return fixtures.
Radnicki won 15–10 away to Barcelona, while Jadran Split defeated Szolnok by the same score. Oradea edged Terrassa 14–13 and Marseille claimed a 12–11 win at Savona, leaving several ties separated by narrow margins.
Panathinaikos had beaten Jadran Herceg Novi 11–10 the previous day. Late goals from its Greek attackers overturned a one-goal deficit, and goalkeeper Adrian Weinberg protected the lead with a final save. The second legs were scheduled for 7 March.
