Vietnam complete a perfect qualifying campaign
Three headers delivered a 3-1 win against Malaysia in Nam Dinh.

Vietnam defeated Malaysia 3-1 at Thien Truong Stadium to finish their Asian Cup qualifying group with a perfect record. Kim Sang-sik’s side scored all three goals with headers as they prepared for a third successive appearance at the continental finals.
Duy Manh opened the scoring from Truong Tien Anh’s early corner. Malaysia created opportunities in response, with Faisal Halim narrowly missing and Nguyen Filip saving Stuart Wilkin’s effort, while Nguyen Hoang Duc struck the crossbar for Vietnam.
Xuan Son headed in twice after the interval, converting deliveries from Do Hang Hen and Tien Anh to establish a three-goal lead. Substitute Endrick dos Santos reduced the deficit with a penalty, but Vietnam retained control and completed their winning Group F campaign.
