Firsts and long-running streaks shape May’s national volleyball finals
Aluron won its first Polish crown while Sada Cruzeiro, Panathinaikos and other clubs added established titles.
Source publication date:
Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie won the Polish men’s championship for the first time, beating defending champion BOGDANKA LUK Lublin 3-1 in the deciding fifth match. The result closed a 3-2 series in front of Aluron’s home support.
Sada Cruzeiro collected a tenth Brazilian men’s title with a straight-set final win over Vôlei Renata, while Panathinaikos secured a 23rd Greek crown. Greenyard Maaseik returned to the top in Belgium after seven years, and Montpellier claimed a ninth French title.
The FIVB round-up also recorded champions in Algeria, Hungary, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Portugal, Qatar, Rwanda and Slovakia. Because the finals occurred in different competitions and cities, this archive report presents them as a dated global club results round-up rather than one event.
