Wales women receive Team of the Year recognition
The Womenin Wales Awards also honoured Ffion Morgan and Jess Fishlock.

Wales' women's national team won Team of the Year at the 2026 Womenin Wales Awards in Cardiff. The ceremony recognised the side's work on and off the pitch following its participation in the European Championship in Switzerland, with captain Angharad James accepting the honour.
James described representing Wales at the tournament as a proud achievement and acknowledged the players who had created opportunities for the current generation. She also thanked supporters and the federation, highlighting the importance of Welsh language and national identity on the international stage.
Ffion Morgan received the Media Champion award for giving supporters an inside view of international football through social media. Former Wales player Jess Fishlock collected both Sportswoman of the Year and Woman of the Year, recognising her standards and wider sporting legacy.
