Welling recover to beat Carshalton at home

Welling United defeated Carshalton Athletic 2–1 at Park View Road after recovering from an early deficit. John Ufuah and Dean Gunner scored before halftime, and goalkeeper MacKenzie Foley made important late saves to preserve the home victory.

Luke Michael Read opened the scoring for Carshalton in the ninth minute with a low volley. Ufuah equalised after Troy Howard followed Foley's long kick and delivered across goal, before Gunner finished during a scramble following a corner.

The visitors applied pressure throughout the second half, but Welling remained organised and limited the openings. Foley denied a close-range attempt in the 79th minute and saved a late header during stoppage time, ensuring his team retained all three points.
