The Football Association of Wales' First Instance Body approved ten applications for women's Tier One licences for the 2026/27 season. Eight current Adran Premier clubs and two clubs from the second tier passed the assessment, while three clubs also obtained the licence required for European competition.

Cardiff City, Swansea City and Wrexham received UEFA women's licences. The domestic approvals also included Aberystwyth Town, Barry Town United, Briton Ferry Llansawel, Cardiff Met, Connah's Quay Nomads, Pontypridd United and The New Saints alongside those three European-license recipients.

Briton Ferry's UEFA application was refused on financial grounds. Carmarthen Town, Cascade YC and Penybont were refused domestic licences under specified criteria, while Cwmbran Celtic withdrew its application. Clubs refused a licence had ten days to submit an appeal against the panel's decision.
