West Ham strengthen survival hopes with Burnley win
Summerville and Castellanos scored first-half goals at Turf Moor.

West Ham United defeated Burnley 2-0 at Turf Moor to narrow the gap to Premier League safety. First-half goals from Crysencio Summerville and Taty Castellanos moved the eighteenth-placed visitors to within three points of Nottingham Forest above the relegation zone.
Summerville opened the scoring after thirteen minutes, finishing a counter-attack started by Mateus Fernandes. His goal extended a scoring sequence to five consecutive matches across all competitions, including four in the Premier League. West Ham doubled their lead thirteen minutes later.
Castellanos headed in El Hadji Malick Diouf’s cross for his first Premier League goal. Burnley produced spells of pressure but could not respond, remaining nineteenth and eight points behind their opponents.
