Strong, variable winds forced officials to cancel the final men’s World Cup ski flying competition in Vikersund. Qualification was abandoned, and several delays to the scheduled event did not bring sufficiently stable conditions for a fair contest to begin.

Weather had already curtailed the women’s competition earlier in the day. That separate event retained its completed first-round results, whereas the men’s race produced no classification. Race director Sandro Pertile confirmed that the circuit would move on to Planica.

Stephan Embacher approached the Slovenian finale leading the ski flying standings after winning Saturday’s Vikersund event and twice finishing second in Kulm. Defending discipline champion Domen Prevc remained a challenger for the Crystal Globe at the final stop.
