Windy City finals set after marathon Orfi victory
ElSherbini, Asal and Coll also won semifinals as the Chicago tournament reached its title stage.

Amina Orfi defeated Olivia Weaver in a ninety-five-minute semifinal to reach her first Windy City Open final. The Egyptian recovered from two games to one down and won the deciding game 15–13, ending the last home player’s campaign in Chicago.
Nour ElSherbini overcame Hania El Hammamy in five games in the other women’s semifinal. ElSherbini established a two-game lead, withstood the world number one’s recovery and won the decider 11–7 to reach a fifth final at the event.
Mostafa Asal defeated Gregoire Marche in straight games to enter the men’s championship match. Paul Coll also won in three against Karim Gawad, setting up another title meeting between the leading men’s seeds.
