WNBL reported a thirty-four per cent increase in finals attendance compared with the previous season. The 2025–26 postseason comprised seven games across February and March, with average crowds exceeding 2,800 as interest in the women's league's concluding programme increased.
The championship ended with Townsville Fire's overtime victory against Perth Lynx at a sold-out Perth High Performance Centre. That contest featured forty-one lead changes and capped a finals sequence the league identified as a significant attendance milestone.
Chief executive Jennie Sager linked the figures to stronger connections between supporters, players and clubs. She said the league's visibility also mattered for participation pathways, citing the scale of girls' basketball in Australia as the WNBL sought to build a sustainable foundation for continued growth.
